SPOKANE, Wash. -- Spokane Police searched for a man late Tuesday accused firing a gun at a man.
It happened in the Hillyard neighborhood around 9:45 p.m. near the 2900 block of East Joseph.
Authorities said a man was standing on his lawn when he confronted a man driving by. The driver then shot the 41-year-old man after some kind of argument, according to police. The victim’s girlfriend reportedly called 911 to report the shooting.
Emergency crews took the victim to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police said the man sustained a gunshot wound to his arm.
Officials said the suspect was driving a black Monte Carlo with tinted windows and black rims. The alleged shooter was described as an African-American male between 30 and 35 years old.
Police did not believe the incident was gang-related.
