SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash--A driver trying to cross a flooded roadway Thursday morning found himself stuck near Spangle Creek Road and Smythe Road in Spokane County.
People in the area said they had not seen flooding like it in 25 years.
A neighbor passing by saw one driver stuck in the high waters and used his trailer to rescue him.
“ I was just out getting some exercise and then saw cars out there.” said Jim Kilmer.
A few feet of water covered about 100 yards of roadway.
Kilmer had to get the driver through the water and back into his car first. Then, he helped him back out of the water and onto higher ground to get towed.
Deputies on scene said the driver was not injured, but reminded the public not to try crossing flooded roads.
