WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash.—Two men were airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center after a wreck Thursday, eight-miles north of Pullman.

State troopers said Ryan W. Tritten, 24, made an illegal u-turn while traveling south on State Route 195 according to the Washington State Patrol.  The car traveling behind him, driven by Norman F. Druffel, 82, struck the driver’s side of the car Tritten was driving.

Medstar flew Tritten and his passenger, James M. Sullins, 23, to Sacred Heart Medical Center. Druffel was not injured in the crash according to the Washington State Patrol.  Troopers said all parties were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

Both of the vehicles were totaled according to police.  Charges were under investigation Thursday evening.
