NEZ PERCE COUNTY, Idaho-- Deputies tracked down a suspect early Thursday accused of breaking into a home in Nez Perce County.
Deputies said a homeowner woke up around 12:30 a.m. to find a man in his home on the top of Lewiston Hill on U.S. 95. The homeowner held the man at gunpoint after his dog had subdued the intruder.
When deputies were en route to the scene, the suspect fled the home on foot.
With the help of Idaho State Police, authorities quickly tracked down Joshua H. Higheagle walking south on U.S. 95. They took him into custody and booked him into Nez Perce County Jail on burglary charges.
