SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Deputies arrested a 15-year-old girl for a bomb threat at Central Valley High School. Investigators said that the teenage student made the threat on Wednesday, March 20 because she was not prepared for an assignment due in class.
The suspect faces a felony charge. Deputies did not release the girl's name. Authorities said she was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on Tuesday morning.
The threat forced bomb squad technicians from Fairchild Air Force Base to search Central Valley. The threat was found on a bathroom wall. Students evacuated the school and were eventually sent home early.
