In a viral video that has touched the hearts of many across the globe, a woman who has been deaf from birth, breaks down when her cochlea implants allow her to hear for the first time.

The Youtube video was posted by a friend of Joe Milne who suffers from Ushers syndrome, which is the most-common condition affecting hearing, according to National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders.

In the clip, an assistant begins by citing the days of the week, "It's a big, big life-changing day today," as the woman breaks down in tears.
