PULLMAN, Wash. - The landscape around Martin Stadium is going to be changing soon.
The WSU Board of Regents just gave unanimous approval for a $61-million football operation building.
The new building provides the football program with new weight, locker, and equipment rooms, in addition to some meeting rooms and coaches offices.
The project is funded with a combination of money saved in part of the remodel of Martin Stadium last year plus a $46-million bond.
Payments for the bond are covered entirely with funds from WSU’s involvement with the Pac-12, specifically with the media contract with the Pac-12 television network.
This building is going to sit just behind the scoreboard in between Rogers Field and Martin Stadium.
Construction starts Monday and should be wrapped up by June 2014.
