COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho—Police received information Wednesday night that a man who went missing from Coeur d’Alene was located in Spokane and is safe.

Christopher Towles, 26, vanished one week prior according to police. He was reported missing by his mother on Friday when he failed to show up for work. Authorities said they were worried about his mental state.

Police found Towles’ vehicle Sunday in a parking lot in North Spokane near Nevada and Francis. His roommate had told police that he knew Towles’ car had broken down in Spokane.

Towles’ family members told the Coeur d’Alene Police Department Wednesday that he was found and is safe.  Members of the Coeur d’Alene Police Department said they appreciate the community’s effort to help find Towles.
