SPOKANE, Wash.—One Spokane man is furious after someone stole his daughter’s Christmas lights on Buckeye Avenue Thanksgiving weekend.

He said it happened the day after he put them up. It was not a large amount of lights and they were not very expensive. Bob Jackinski is upset because of how much the lights meant to his family.

"This is my daughter's first Christmas in her own house. It's like they offended her by stealing from her,” said Jackinski.

Jackiniski decorated his daughter’s deck and front lawn for the second time on Sunday. He put lights on the roof and bushes on Saturday but when he stopped by his daughter’s home on Buckeye and Howard later in the day, the lights in the front lawn were gone.

“It's the best time of the year and then someone does this,” said Jackinski.

Chelsea Jackinski said the lights reminded her of her family.

"It's the first time I won't be with my dad or my brother at their house and that whole thing. It just upsets me,” said Chelsea Jackinski.

The Jackinski’s said their favorite part about the holidays is putting up the lights. It is a tradition Chelsea Jackinski hopes to bring to her new home.
