FORD, Wash. — An 11-year-old boy has died after being pulled from the water unresponsive at Chamokane Falls near Ford. The child was airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center Friday.
The boy was swimming with his family when he went under the water, according to officials. Authorities said rescue crews found him under a log after about 30 minutes.
The emergency crews pulled the boy from the water and performed CPR on him. Fire District One officials said he was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The boy was pronounced dead in the emergency room Friday night.
Multiple agencies responded to Chamokane Falls to assist in the rescue.
