SPOKANE, Wash.—The suspect arrested Wednesday in connection with the Martin Luther King Jr. Day bomb scare is set to face a judge.
Kevin Harpham, 36, was arrested at a home near Addy, Stevens County and appeared before a judge in a federal courtroom at 3:30 P.M. in Spokane.
Harpham was shackled and showed little emotion in court. The bail hearing was waived and there will be grand jury indictment hearing Tuesday, March 22. Harpham met with his defense attorney Roger Peven for the first time Wednesday, as well.
Witnesses began calling KREM 2 News around 9 A.M. as agents began executing a search warrant.
Neighbors said Harpham has been living in the area for almost 15 years.
