LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. -- Authorities in Liberty Lake are searching for a man who was seen taking pictures of students through a classroom window on November 7 around 11:00 a.m.
Officials said a teacher at East Farms School on E. Rowan Avenue saw the man taking pictures. When the suspect was spotted he yelled some profanities and ran. A Spokane County Sheriff’s deputy and a Liberty Lake officer were not able to find the man.
The next day at 8:30 a.m., the same man was seen on the sidewalk in front of the school but he was not located by the responding deputy and officer.
Then, on November 13 at 8 p.m., a parent arrived at the school to pick up children from an event and noticed a suspicious man standing in front of the school smoking a cigarette. The man was in an area where children were outside playing on the grass. The parent said the man looked like the man from the previous week.
The man is described as white, in his 20’s or 30’s, short, dirty blonde hair, has some facial hair, and was wearing an olive green coat with patches on it.
Authorities said extra patrols have been set up around the school.
If anyone can identify the man you are asked to call Deputy Streltzoff at 509-241-5285.
People are urged to call Crime Check at 509-456-2233 if they see this man or any suspicious people near the school.
