COEUR d’ALENE, Idaho -- Police were searching for the person who held up a Jimmy John’s restaurant at gunpoint early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to the restaurant on N. Government Way near W. Haycraft Ave. around 1:30 a.m. According to Coeur d‘Alene Police, an employee reported being forced by a male suspect back into the business from outside while taking out the garbage. The suspect displayed a handgun and pointed it at the victim, authorities said. The victim said the suspect demanded he give him cash, and the suspect fled the area on foot.
Police said the suspect was still at large, and should be considered armed and dangerous. He was described as 5’08”-5’09” with a stocky build, wearing a blue with white-striped zip-up hoodie pulled over his head, black mask, blue jeans, and a black nylon sport-type back pack.
