An AMBER alert was canceled just after 11 p.m. Wednesday for a Marysville boy who was found in Brier, Wash. safe and in good condition.

The Marysville Police Department was looking for 6-year-old, Venjamin Seth Wright, who they believed to be in danger.

Tips led the Mountlake police to a residence in Brier, Wash. where Venjamin Wright, his mother, Shannan Guest and her boyfriend Gary Howard Cooper were found.

AMBER alert information

According to police, CPS attempted a welfare check on Venjamin but the child’s mother, Shannan Christine Guest, would not let them into the home. CPS left to obtain a court order to place Venjamin into state custody. The mother had made a statement to CPS that she would flee the area if things did not go her way.

CPS returned to the residence with a court order of removal and the mother had taken the boy and left with her boyfriend, Gary Howard Cooper.  Police original thought the couple were traveling in a rented white, 2012 Ford Focus and were headed toward the Los Angeles area.

Police have taken custody of Venjamin and are questioning both his mother and boyfriend.
