SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- Local officials said a Sunday morning shooting in Spokane Valley left a man with a life threatening gun shot wound to the neck. He remains in the hospital with critical injuries according to authorities and family members.
Witnesses said one shot was fired in front of a camper on East Empire near North Stegner.
Officials also said that this was not a random shooting. The victim's family said he is 22-years-old and has critical injuries. They said the bullet is still lodged inside of him.
Officials said Major Crimes detectives are investigating this ongoing case. They added there was no immediate information on a suspect but that it was likely not gang related.
