SPOKANE, Wash.-- Authorities arrested a prowler early Friday after an alert citizen tipped off the Spokane Police Department.
Officers arrested Randy A. Norberg, 31, for two counts of attempted vehicle theft.
A citizen called police around 2 a.m. after spotting a suspicious person in an apartment complex at 49 E. Pine Ridge Court. The citizen told police he appeared to be prowling around cars and gave dispatchers detailed updates before officers arrived on scene.
When officers did get to the apartment complex, they quickly arrested Norberg. They said he was armed with a large knife, as well as, a small sword.
Investigators determined Norberg tampered with the ignitions on two vehicles in an attempt to steal them.
