SPOKANE, Wash. -- A five-time convicted felon was arrested again just days after being released from jail.
Anthony Carson was arrested Wednesday for stealing two cars. He was release from the Spokane County Jail just two weeks ago.
A car theft victim was shocked to hear a career criminal was accused of stealing their car
“That’s just stupidity at its finest,” said William Dickinson.
Dickinson first thought someone was playing a prank on his roommate when he realized his Subaru was stolen. The next emotion for the men was confusion when they noticed the exact make and model of Subaru their roommate owns had been parked in its place.
“The same car, same model and everything was right next to it. They just swapped one for the other. It’s just crazy. I’m dumbfounded,” said Dickinson.
Spokane Police said Carson was fresh out of the Spokane County Jail when he was arrested again for stealing cars.
The victim now has his Subaru back. He said it smells like drugs and his long board was stolen out of it. He does say he is happy to have it back.
