SPOKANE, Wash. -- An event is being held on Saturday to help raise money for Team Gleason.
Organizers for Spokane on the Rocks said it is a great meeting place on Hoopfest Saturday to step away from the games and enjoy food, drink and fun with family while supporting Team Gleason.
Spokane on the Rocks will host local breweries and distillers as well as local restaurants.
“Team Gleason sees the opportunity to reach the masses and really get the word out to ultimately find a cure for ALS,” said Jimmy Ramirez of Team Gleason.
This is the second year for the event but supporting former NFL star, Steve Gleason’s foundation is a new addition. A portion of all the proceeds will go to Team Gleason.
Organizers said it is a great way to celebrate Gleason’s spirit at an event that mean so much to all of Spokane.
“Whether you’re actually playing in the tournament or you’re a spectator, there’s that involvement, that support and it really kind of carries over and echoes into the same thing Team Gleason based upon,” said Ramirez.
Spokane on the rocks will take place inside and around the INB Performing Arts Center. It is open to all ages.
