Some members of the 12s admitted they voted against Richard Sherman in the Madden NFL 15 cover vote for fear he would be hit with the so-called Madden Curse. Sherman ended up winning anyway.

Those fans might get even more nervous when they hear that Sherman wants the entire Seahawks Legion of Boom on the cover. But, he says Madden producer EA Sports have been resisting.

“It’s a great honor for me and my teammates, the Legion of Boom. I’ve been trying to get the Legion of Boom on the cover and EA’s been fighting me. So, if everyone wants to start a petition to get the Legion of Boom on the cover, here’s an open invitation,” Sherman said Monday.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk suggests that the reason EA Sports is saying no is that it would have to pay the other Legion of Boom members – namely cornerback Byron Maxwell and safeties Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor – in order to use their images on the cover. Florio suggests it would be more likely to happen if Sherman and the rest of the LOB agree to split Sherman's compensation four ways.

Don’t be stunned to see someone, somewhere, try to make this Change.org petition happen. If someone can petition the White House to build a Death Star, anything can happen.
