Plummer woman competing in Miss Indian World Pageant

PLUMMER, Idaho -- A Plummer woman will be competing in the 2014 Miss Indian World Pageant.

Imani Antone will compete in the pageant as part of the 31st Annual Gathering of Nations.

It is considered the most prominent Native America Pow-Wow in the world.

The pageant will crown one young Native American woman as the representative of the native and indigenous people throughout North America.

Antone is a member of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe.

The pageant begins April 24 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
