SPOKANE, Wash. -- Authorities have called off a standoff near 10th and Elm Sunday afternoon.

Police said the suspect, Timothy Jacobs, 26, escaped through a window. Officers said  Jacobs is not a threat to the public.

Spokane Police said they responded to the apartment around 8:30 Sunday morning after a woman showed up at the hospital saying her boyfriend had attacked her.

Officials said the female victim was beaten and stabbed several times in the leg.  The relationship between Jacobs and the victim is unclear.

Police quickly surrounded the apartment and spent hours trying to get him to come out. When they finally went inside, Jacobs was not there.

Officials said Jacobs also has a warrant for robbery.

Anyone with information about Jacobs is asked to call Crime Check.
