COLBERT, Wash. -- The Spokane County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who they said used a stun gun to rob a couple at a gas station on N. Highway 395.

Deputies were called to the Exxon at 23312 N. Highway 395 around 9:00 Saturday night. The victims told authorities they were in their car scratching lottery tickets when a man approached the car.

The 44-year-old male victim said the suspect opened his door, grabbed him and pulled him out of the car.  He told officials the suspect began to shock him with a stun gun up and down his right arm.

The 49-year-old female victim said she got out of the car with her purse around her shoulder. She told deputies the suspect walked around the rear of the car and grabbed her purse. The suspect was able to take the purse and he ran around the southwest corner of the building.

Deputies set up a perimeter and attempted to track the suspect with K9. They were not able to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a black male in his late 40’s, 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, wearing a black windbreaker and a black knitted cap.
