Both directions of Interstate 90 between North Bend and Ellensburg remained closed Monday morning due to fallen trees, heavy snow and avalanche concerns. The DOT says the estimated time for reopening is 4:30 p.m.

The closure went into effect at 9:45 p.m. Sunday.

State troopers said there are multiple trees down near milepost 38 in North Bend. Traffic was stopped near Ellensburg at milepost 106 to give drivers more options for food and lodging.

KING 5 Meteorologist Rich Marriott said 15 inches of new snow had fallen at Snoqualmie Pass in 24 hours ending Monday morning.

Stevens Pass reported about 20 inches of new snow. The pass remained open as of 11 a.m. Monday.
