SPOKANE, Wash. – A robbery suspect threatened to shoot a Safeway employee early Friday morning at the Northwest Boulevard store.

Authorities responded to a report of a robbery at the Safeway just after 1:00 a.m.
Officers said the suspect went into the store and started stealing things. Police said when an employee confronted him he threatened to shoot him. No weapon was ever seen according to authorities.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black man, in his 30s, about 5’7” talk, with a medium build.

Officials said the suspect fled on foot. Police used a K9 to track the suspect but were unsuccessful.
