LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. -- On Saturday, the Special Olympics is hosting the Polar Plunge at Liberty Lake.
Participants will take a dip into the chilly waters of Liberty Lake at noon Saturday. Each person must raise $50 to participate. All the money raised goes to Special Olympics Washington.
Everyone who takes part will receive an official Polar Plunge t-shirt, lunch and entry to the post-event part.
There will also be ‘Super Plungers’ who will take a dip into the waters every hour for 24 hours. These participants must collect $650 in pledges. They will begin at 7:00 a.m. Friday.
