SPOKANE, Wash. -- Snow berms are causing parking headaches for drivers in Downtown Spokane.
Some of the snow berms are almost a foot tall and several feet from the sidewalk making it hard to find a parking spot.
Drivers had to make a few rounds before finding a spot on Madison near Sprague.
“This one is deep. It’s thankfully kind of soft but eventually it’s going to turn into concrete and then there’s really going to be a problem,” said driver Dave Frank.
The worst of the berms appeared to be a block away near First and Monroe where there were dozens of empty spaces.
City leaders do not plan to remove snow berms until it reaches the second stage of its snow plan when the snow reaches six inches.
