Police arrested Timothy Suckow Monday for the December murder of Douglas Carlile. Lead investigators believe James Henrikson, one of Carlile’s business associates, contracted the killing but he has not been named a suspect.
A man who has known Henrikson for years told KREM 2 News he was shocked by Henrikson’s reaction to Carlile’s death. He did not want to be identified out of safety concerns for his family.
The man said more lives could be at risk at the hands of Henrikson. He said he spoke to him shortly after Carlile was executed in his kitchen.
“It was like he really knew. There was no reaction. He was just like, ‘Oh really?.’ No like, no shock. No nothing,” said the man.
This man said he has known Henrikson for years and said he knows just how much he is capable of.
“I guess some people should fear him. I don’t,” he said.
Court documents say Spokane Detectives believe the murder of Carlile was a paid hit at the hands of Henrikson. Spokane Police have not come out and named Henrikson a suspect in the case.
