49ers beat Panthers; will go against Seahawks next Sunday

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, 23-10.

Seattle will host the 49ers next Sunday in the NFC championship game with the possibility of advancing to the Super Bowl for the second time in franchise history.

Seattle's only Super Bowl trip came in the 2005 playoffs when it routed Carolina in the NFC championship game at home.

Today's second game features the Broncos at home to the Chargers. This is the third meeting of the season between these two AFC West clubs. They split the two regular season games they played. The Chargers earned their ticket to the game with a 27-10 road win over the Bengals. This marks the first time these longstanding rivals are meeting in a postseason game.
