WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. -- The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office recovered more than $40,000 in stolen property.

The Sheriff’s Office identified several suspects and followed up on many leads that sent them to North Idaho before making arrests and recovering all of the stolen property.

Pressure washers, motorcycles, ATVs and a utility vehicle were all stolen from homes in North Whitman County and all have been recovered.

The Sheriff’s Office made three arrests including two men named Kenneth Himes and William McBride. Some of the items were recovered at one of the suspect’s homes near Tekoa, Washington but others were found across state lines in the town of Tensed, Idaho.

The Sheriff’s Office deals with crime rings like this one about four times a year.

The suspects in this case face charges of Possession of Stolen Property in two different counties in two different states.

The Whitman County Sheriff said he expects to recover more property and arrest four additional suspects in this burglary ring before his investigation is over.
