NEWMAN LAKE, Wash. -- Authorities said thieves stole bee crates worth just over $23,000 from a man in Newman Lake.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a burglary call in the area of E. Trent Ave. and N. Idaho Rd. on Monday.  Deputies said the victim told them he stored bee crates at the location and that he was missing fifteen pallets containing 462 crates.

It was not clear when the crates were stolen.  There was also no information on a possible suspect.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anyone providing information leading to an arrest in this incident.  Persons with information should call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-222-TIPS, or should forward the tip via Crime Stoppers’ website.
