SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Ridpath Hotel could soon become part of a National Historic Registry.
Developer Ron Wells, is working to re-open the Ridpath in 2014 as apartments.
A state agency approved Wells’ request to be added to the National Register of Historic Places. The building being on the list would count as a tax credit.
Wells said an agency in Washington, D.C. still needs to give final approval but he expects the request to be approved.
The apartments are set to open in June 2014.
