SPOKANE Wash. -- KREM 2 News is celebrating Randy Shaw’s 30 year anniversary anchoring news in the Inland Northwest. This makes him the longest running news anchor in eastern Washington.

Shaw is an award winning journalist who has covered historic stories like the Watergate hearings and Ronald Reagan’s presidency.

While he was working in Washington, D.C., Shaw realized he belonged back in Spokane where he grew up. He has spent his journalism career in Spokane both in the studio and out in the community, often asking tough questions.

As much as he enjoys his job as a journalist, music is arguably his first love. Shaw has used his gift of song to help raise money for the community.

His proudest achievement is creating the CD “In Your Honor.” He helped raise thousands of dollars for Inland Northwest Honor Flight alongside several well known artists.

Shaw has done more than 15,000 newscasts and has been in the Inland Northwest since 1983.

KREM 2 News wants to congratulate Randy Shaw for 30 years in the Inland Northwest.
