SEATTLE (AP) -- You've heard of secondhand smoke. Have you heard of secondhand pot?
The Seattle Police Department says a thrift store employee called authorities Thursday after finding a large bag of marijuana in a donation bin. The bag contained 2.5 pounds of pot, an amount generally worth at least a few thousand dollars.
Thrift stores don't accept such product. Police say an officer has taken the marijuana and placed it into evidence for destruction.
Last year, voters in Washington legalized the possession of up to an ounce of pot by adults over the age of 21. The state is now setting up a system of state-licensed growers, processors and sellers.
