SPOKANE, Wash. -- A police department in suburban Chicago is looking into threats made against the suspects in the Delbert Belton murder case.

Spokane Police arrested Kenan Adams-Kinard and Demitrius Glenn for the beating death of World War II Veteran Delbert Belton, 88.

Adams-Kinard is now getting death threats online. Some of the threats are posted on his Facebook page. One of the posts read, “It’s a good thing Washington State allows the use of capital punishment because the only thing that should ever be on you now is a piece of rope around your neck.” The post is signed, “Warm Regard, The Riverside, Illinois Police Department.”

KREM 2 News contacted the Riverside Police Department about the post. Authorities there said the poster is “familiar to them” but said he is not affiliated with the department.

Authorities said they’re making contact with the suspect to see what was behind the harassing message.
