SPOKANE, Wash. -- A north Spokane woman is searching for her parrot that went missing on Monday.
The search for “Sassy” the parrot has moved three different times in the past few days.
Tammy Glanville has owned birds for eight years. She’s never had any trouble with them until Monday. Her granddaughter had Sassy the parrot in her hands when the bird escaped.
“My granddaughter came out and my boyfriend was weed-whacking and she flew off,” said Glanville.
Sassy was spotted a few block from Glanville’s home later that day.
For three days Glanville tried to get Sassy from that spot. She brought Sassy’s Cage to the area used a ladder to get closer to the bird and sprayed water into the trees but nothing worked.
Then, Thursday this morning her owner spotted Sassy again closer to home. So, her owner decided to grab her other bird “Poppers.”
Glanville said Sassy and Poopers get along and she hoped another bird’s call would get Sassy back. She went into an alley to try to get closer to Sassy but she still didn’t come down.
Glanville has told everyone about Sassy hoping someone in the area will notice her.
