PASCO, Wash. -- A former Spokane mayor was escorted out of a City Council meeting in Pasco Monday after he refused to stop speaking.
The Tri-City Herald reports that John Talbott was questioning bonuses the council awarded to the City Manager as well as $50,000 in merit pay increases.
Reports said Talbott continued to talking after Pasco Mayor Matt Watkins asked that his microphone be turned off. He was then escorted out of the meeting by the police chief.
Talbott was elected mayor of Spokane in 1997 and only served one term.
