The creator of prancercising describes this form of exercise as "a springy rhythmic movement forward similar to a horse's gait, ideally induced by elation."
Florida resident Joanna Rohrback, 60, invented the exercise routine 25 years ago, but the internet has only taken notice this past week.
And while Rohrback takes the routine seriously -- she published a book, has a website, and put a video the web last year -- the online reaction is a little lighter. On Huffington Post, the routine was featured in the comedy section.
For now at least, everyone is trying to prancercise, including KING 5's Rich Marriott.
Whether your serious about prancercising or just horsing around, trying it out will help you burn a few calories.
The routine features four different gaits, most of them paired with ankle weights.
As for Rohrback, she's taking the attention -- good and bad -- in stride.
