MAKHACHKALA, Russia -- The mother talked about her sons' innocence, and she questioned reports that her youngest son, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev , confessed to the killings. She claimed he has not even been questioned to this point.

Officials, however, say Tsarnaev stopped answering their questions once they read him his rights on Wednesday.

The suspects' mother went on to say "America took my kids away."

The father of the suspects says he is leaving Russia soon for the United States.

Tsarnaev told journalists in the southern Russian province of Dagestan that he is leaving “today or tomorrow.”

The suspects’ mother, Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, said she was still thinking it over. She was charged with shoplifting in the U.S. last summer and is concerned that she could be arrested.

Tsarnaeva said she had been assured by lawyers, however, that she would not be.

The Tsarnaev family emigrated to the U.S. a decade ago, but both parents returned to Russia last year.
