SPOKANE -- The health inspection records of every Spokane County restaurant are now online. The Spokane Health District says it gets more requests for restaurant rankings than anything else.
Restaurants get inspected all the time. The Spokane Health District sends inspectors to every restaurant looking for specific things including temperatures of stored food and cooked food.
On Monday, the Davenport Hotel's catering kitchen came up clean. But several others didn't. You can look online and find out which ones made the grade. You can go back five years to see how a restaurant was graded.
KREM 2 On Your Side picked Twigs, Old Country Buffet and the Davenport at random. Old Country Buffet on Sprague got marked for not cooking their food enough, not refrigerating it enough, and not sanitizing their counter tops enough. Those violations were fixed by the next inspection.
Twigs in Downtown Spokane was cited for employees not washing their hands and not keeping food cold enough. They fixed those within a few days. Even the Davenport, back in 2008, had violations for hand-washing, food and storage temperatures and sanitizing. Those violations were all fixed too.
All those restaurants listed passed with perfect records on their next inspection.
