PORTLAND -- A 15-year-old girl seriously wounded when a gunman killed two people and then himself last week at an Oregon shopping mall has been released from a hospital.
Oregon Health and Science University confirms that Kristina Shevchenko was released Tuesday.
A Facebook page managed by the girl's family says she is "now home with the family and in very good spirits."
The update says she has a long way to go until full recovery.
Trauma surgeon Laszlo Kiraly said earlier she suffered a rifle wound to the chest that damaged her liver and one of her lungs.
Victims Steve Forsyth and Cindy Yuille were fatally shot on Dec. 11 at the Clackamas Town Center before the shooter killed himself. Police identified him as 22-year-old Jacob Tyler Roberts.
