BOISE -- An inmate who escaped from the Ada County Jail this afternoon was captured less than an hour later at a church on Eldorado Street near Fairview Avenue.

The Ada County Sheriff's Office tells us just before 4:00 p.m., a 31-year-old, Ryan Burningham from Nampa, was assigned to the kitchen staff and was taking out the trash with a supervisor and another inmate worker, when he ran from the parking lot, over a fence, across the connector and behind businesses near Cole Road.

Ada County Sheriff's deputies, Boise Police officers and K-9 tracking teams immediately set up a perimeter and alerted neighbors.

Around 4:30 p.m., a women says she believes Burningham was hiding in a shed behind the church in the 1400 block of North Eldorado.

After multiple commands from officers, Burningham came out of the shed and taken into custody around 4:45 p.m. without incident.

Burningham was booked back into the Ada County Jail on a charge of misdemeanor escape.

He was serving time on a misdemeanor probation violation.
