King County Sheriff's deputies issued an arrest warrant for a 20-year-old suspect Friday who allegedly shot two teens this week, killing one of them.

Tiana Montgomery, 17, was killed and her cousin Darrol Edwards, 18, was shot seven times early Wednesday in the parking lot of Maplewood Court Apartments on Richmond Beach Road.

Police said Montgomery and Edwards called 911 and attempted to drive themselves to get help. Police located them with the back window of their SUV shot out. Montgomery died from her injuries, but Edwards remains hospitalized at Harborview.

Now a warrant is out for Joseph Cooley, 20, charging him with murder and attempted murder. Cooley is 5-foot 2-inches tall and weighs 110 pounds. Deputies said he is believed to be armed.

Investigators said the shooting was not gang-related, nor was it random.

Anyone who has seen Cooley is asked to call 911.
