N. Spokane Costco moving further north into new building

The Spokane County officials confirmed the permits for the new building had been approved.

SPOKANE, Wash. – The North Spokane Costco will eventually move to a new building at 12020 N. Newport Highway, about 7 miles north of its current location on that side of town.

The Spokane County officials confirmed the permits for the new building had been approved.

The current North Spokane Costco on N. Division Street  is actually listed for sale on Loopnet.com. The $7 million listing says Costco will not close its doors until the new location is completed.

This will be the second time in recent history that Costco has moved from city limits to the county. There used to be one off Third Avenue and Arthur.  After it closed, it became a boat storage facility, then a recreational marijuana grow site.

Costco officials declined to comment on the new location. There is another Costco located in the Spokane Valley.
