SPOKANE, Wash. – Most Washington State University fans know and enjoy Mike Leach’s take on topics. His press conferences often feature football as a topic, but have also drifted into more uncharted territory, like weddings, mascots and Thanksgiving day family football games.

Thursday, Florida Atlantic coach Lane Kiffin tweeted about an October presser in which Leach went off about college football playoffs and called the WSU coach his “hero in press conferences.”

In the rant, Leach argued there should be a 64 team playoff each season. You can read more about that here.

This is apparently not the first time Kiffin has given Leach a shout out. For the Win reports that on Saturday he gave a shout out to Leach while comparing the post-game celebration to Woodstock. Leach made the same comparison when the Cougs beat USC earlier this year.

Leach did retweet a video on on Twitter of Kiffin making the Woodstock statement, so it is probably safe to say he also enjoyed the commentary.

Both Leach and Kiffin have been mentioned by sports media as possible candidates for the open head coach job at Oregon after Willie Taggart's departure for Florida State.
