SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga has a new unofficial mascot, right in time for the Sweet 16.
Meet Dottie, the basketball-loving bulldog puppy!
In June, Gonzaga’s former unofficial mascot, Maddie, died after a battle with bone cancer. According to Maddie’s Facebook page, she interviewed puppies up in heaven to take her place and handpicked Dottie.
Dottie's owner said she is a southern belle from Texas, but is adjusting to life in the Pacific Northwest.
