Moscow HS's Buddy Club wins Credit 2 Kids grand prize

Moscow High School took the $5,000 grand prize!

MOSCOW, Idaho – Moscow High School’s Buddy Club is the 2016 Credit 2 Kids Grand Prize winner!

Credit 2 Kids is a program between STCU and KREM 2 to highlight teens doing good work in our community.

The Buddy Club pairs students with special needs teens at the high school. The club plans monthly activities that help forge friendships that might otherwise never happen.

The $5,000 grand prize was presented on Friday during first period at Moscow High School by STCU and KREM 2.

Club members said the money will be used well as the program struggles to find its endeavors.

The Buddy Club was one of six recipients of Credit 2 Kids this year. The club was previously awarded $500 and was then eligible for the grand prize.

STCU picks all Credit 2 Kids winners from nominations received through KREM.com.

Nominations are closed for this school year, but will be back open in September.
