COEURD'A LENE-- All those school supplies you donated for the KREM Cares Tools 2 Schools Drive are going to area families Tuesday.

The Coeur d'Alene Kroc Center is distributing those supplies to families in need. The Coeur d'Alene Tribe and Casino donated 500 back packs, and with the help of everyone out there, they were filled with much needed supplies. Many of the backpacks will be going to elementary school children. There were also a lot of crayons, markers, and paper donated, which is perfect for the younger grades. But they are also handing out supplies for older kids as well, which as parents know can be very costly.

Tuesday, the Kroc center is handing out about 300 backpacks and 200 were given to the Martin Luther King Jr. Family Outreach Center Monday in Spokane.

In all, more than 500 kids will be helped by folks out there donating supplies and by the Coeur d'Alene Tribe. They also have a waiting list at the Kroc center so it's not too late to donate.
