SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Spokane Fire Department helped rescue team helped an 18-year-old man after a fall at Palisades Park.
Rescuers had to work quickly after the man had fallen about 15 feet down from a cave.
Spokane City Fire and Spokane Fire District 10 responded to the scene in just minutes. They were looking at making about a 300 feet trek down to where the man fell.
The combination of the steep hill and rain made it difficult.
At this point, it is not clear what the young man was doing or why he fell. Authorities have not released his name or his condition. Firefighters said they are just glad they were able to pull him to safety without getting hurt themselves.
