Blue Grouse Road Fire burning in Okanogan Co.

Officials said the fire started from a house fire on Blue Grouse road in the Nine Mile area.

OROVILLE, Wash.—Okanogan County Emergency Management officials reported a wildfire burning north east of Oroville, Washington Wednesday morning.

Okanogan County Emergency Management team member, Maurice Goodall, said the fire started from a house fire on Blue Grouse road in the Nine Mile area.

Goodall said everyone who was in the home was safe, but the house was completely destroyed.

Goodall said the fire was 30 acres Wednesday morning.

Authorities said an emergency notification message has been sent out. A Deputy is also going door to door notifying residents in the area.

Officials said there are 10 structures, including a few houses were threatened south of the area.

Reports said volunteer fire units and Washington Department of Resources crews were on scene.
