4 Omak HS students had anxiety attack, did not eat tainted candy

School officials said the incident turned out to be an anxiety attack on the part of one student that resonated with three others.

OMAK, Wash.— Omak School District officials said police have determined the candy that eaten by four Omak High School students was not tainted.

School officials said the incident turned out to be an anxiety attack on the part of one student that resonated with three others. They said all of the students involved have had medical exams and the candy tested revealed no identifiable contamination or foreign substance.

Representatives with the Omak School District said two students were transported to the hospital in an ambulance and two were taken by their parents.

Originally, school officials believe the students had a reaction to candy given to them by another student.
